Difficult Species

Introduction
In the UK spiders are one of the few invertebrate groups where the majority of the species can be identified with "relative" ease with only one or two reference books. However, there are a number of groups within the spiders where the species are very similar and difficult to distinguish. This section of the website includes PDF documents, produced by experts in arachnology, which aim to help all arachnologists to correctly identify the species with these groupings.
This section is now administered by the Spider Recording Scheme, however, below are links to the first selection of Difficult Species Crib Sheets (these are all PDFs) The intention is to add to these as more become available:
